Rep. Steve & Lily Knight, July 2017
Rep. Steve Knight, R-Palmdale, and his wife Lily were uninjured in a train crash in Virginia Wednesday morning, according to his spokesman in Washington D.C.
“They were en route from Washington D.C. to the Greenbriar Resort in West Virginia for the annual GOP Congressional Retreat,” said Chris Yousef, Knight’s public information officer. “From what I understand, they went through Charlottesville, Virginia and outside of Charlottesville the train crashed into a garbage truck that was on the tracks.
“What we know right now is that Lily Knight, who is a registered NICU nurse at Antelope Valley Hospital, was giving medical treatment to some of the victims,” Yousef said. “To what extent, I need to confirm.”
“Right now, I think the train is going back to Charlotteville, and they’re going to be loaded onto buses to be ferried to the retreat in Greenbriar,” Yousef said.
Yousef added that Knight and his wife will be interviewed by anchor Shepard Smith on Fox News at noon today, Pacific time.

Happy they were uninjured.
One question: were our tax dollars paying for Ms. Knight’s trip?
Of course the taxpayers money was funding this retreat. What a horrible attempt at trying to injure those crooked politicians onboard….
It’s “Mrs.” Knight, because she is a married lady.
