USC junior guard Julian Jacobs was named to the Pac-12 All-Conference First Team, sophomore guard Jordan McLaughlin was named honorable mention All-Conference and Bennie Boatwright was named honorable mention All-Freshman, it was announced by the Pac-12 Conference today (March 7).

Jacobs has averaged 11.6 points, 5.4 assists and 4.8 rebound per game during the 2015-16 season and became the first USC first-team selection since Nikola Vucevic in 2011. Jacobs leads all Pac-12 players in assists per game, is sixth in assist to turnover ratio (2.1) and 10th in steals per game (1.3). Jacobs, who earlier this season was named one of the 10 finalists for the Jerry West Award, has had five games with nine or more assists, including a career-best 13 vs. Cal Poly on Dec. 17. Jacobs also had a career-high seven steals vs. Arizona on Jan. 9 which tied him for fourth on USC’s all-time single-game steals list.
Jacobs three times registered a double-double and demonstrated his versatility by posting three different types. He had one with points and rebounds (12 points/10 rebounds at UC Santa Barbara on Dec. 3), one with rebounds and assists (11 rebounds/10 assists vs. CSUN on Nov. 23) and one with points and assists (10 points/13 assists vs. Cal Poly on Dec. 17). Jacobs is tied for the team lead with 151 assists and has 380 career assists, fifth on USC’s all-time list.
McLaughlin, a Pac-12 All-Freshman selection a year ago, has averaged 12.9 points, 3.7 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game this season, while coming back from offseason surgery on both of his shoulders. McLaughlin is tied for the team lead in assists with 151 and set the school single-game record with 16 assists vs. Lafayette on Dec. 23. McLaughlin leads the team in scoring and has a team-best seven 20-point games this season. He also has made 42.4 percent of his shots from three-point range this season.
Boatwright has averaged 11.4 points and 5.2 rebounds in his first season at USC. He has made 52 three-point baskets which ranks fourth on USC’s all-time freshman list. He also has grabbed 157 rebounds which are second on the team and 10th on USC’s all-time freshman list. Boatwright was also the only Pac-12 freshman to rank in the top eight among the conference freshmen in points, field goals made, rebounds, three-pointers, free throws made, free throw percentage, assists and blocks.
