[Henry Mayo]- Over 350 Santa Clarita residents turned out for a “pre-opening event” sponsored by Henry Mayo Fitness and Health Saturday, Jan. 16. The event was held at the future location of the fitness center at 24525 Town Center Drive in Valencia, the site of the former Spectrum Club.

Scheduled to open in June, Henry Mayo Fitness and Health is a new venture of Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital. It will be the only medically-integrated health and fitness center in the Santa Clarita Valley, providing a platform to help Santa Clarita residents sustain active, healthy lifestyles.

Last weekend’s event gave members of the public an opportunity to view blueprints for the new center, meet members of the fitness center staff and sign up for special “charter memberships.”

“Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital is committed to serving our community’s health needs,” said Roger Seaver, President and CEO.

“Being healthy and fit are keys to our wellness efforts. This new center will allow us to extend our mission into additional preventive programs to improve health and manage chronic medical conditions. Henry Mayo Fitness and Health will be a dynamic environment that offers all of the attributes of a state-of-the-art fitness center. Additionally, it will be combined with diagnostic and therapeutic healthcare services, and customized to patient, employer and the community.”
