SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — Last Saturday, The Master’s College men’s & field teams competed at the All on the Line National Qualifier on the campus of Westmont College.
Andrew Orona represented TMC in the 1,500m where he placed seventh overall with a final time of 4:01.07. Michael Sciarra finished the event in 13th place at 4:15.56.
In the 400m, Andrew Sanchez placed second overall with a blazing time of 48.67. Sanchez went on to compete in the 200m where he tied for second at 22.14.
Skyler Mikesell finished ninth in the men’s 800m at 1:55.61.
Finally, Joshua Sherfey qualified to compete in the 65th Annual Men’s Outdoor Track & Field National Championships at Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium, Gulf Shores, Ala. in the 10,000m after finishing first with a time of 31:22.53.
Looking ahead, the following Mustangs have qualified to compete in the NAIA’s National Championships: Andrew Orona (5,000 meter, Marathon), Ryan Freeman (marathon), Joshua Sherfey (10,000m, marathon), Michael Sciarra (3,000, steeplechase), Skyler Mikesell (1,500), Tim Gutierrez (marathon).
