For the second consecutive year, The Master’s College’s Jackie Marshall was selected All-Conference.
The Golden State Athletic Conference has announced its All-Conference teams for men’s and women’s basketball and three Mustangs from The Master’s College have been honored.
Seniors Jackie Marshall and Zoe Scott have each been named to the 2013-14 All-GSAC Women’s Basketball Team.
Marshall finished sixth in the conference in scoring, averaging 16.2 points per game and No. 1 in blocked shots (52). She also finished in the conference top 10 in rebounding (2nd), field goal percentage (5th), Steals (T6th) and free throw percentage (8th).
Zoe Scott averaged 10.1 points per game and finished tied for 4th in the conference with 66 3-pointers made. Scott nows holds the Lady Mustangs record for most threes made in a career with 235.
Junior point guard Dominique Lanier was named to the All-GSAC Men’s Basketball Team.
Lanier averaged 10.1 points per game and finished third in the conference in assists (4.03/game), seventh in steals (1.48/game), tenth in free throw percentage (75.4%) and third in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.86).
The Master’s College Lady Mustangs, ranked No. 7 in NAIA Division women’s basketball, begin the first round of the GSAC Tournament as the No. 2 seed at home Wednesday night against San Diego Christian. The men travel to Arizona Christian Thursday to open up the tournament against the Firestorm.
