A traffic collision took out an entire intersection’s power Monday afternoon.
“Two cars collided in the intersection of Decoro Drive and Hillsborough Parkway at 5:20 p.m,” said William Formica, a Santa Clarita Valley sheriff’s deputy. “One vehicle hit an electrical box while the other crashed into a tree.”
All four traffic lights lost power and Formica put up stop signs to help with traffic.
“The driver of the car that hit the tree was transported to the hospital for minor injuries,” he said.
One of the drivers involved in the crash was still on the scene but did not want to comment about the incident other than to say, “Everyone in this valley needs to slow down.”
