An Indiana woman concerned her teen daughter is living as a runaway in Santa Clarita is asking for the community’s help.
“I believe my daughter is with her father who lives in Santa Clarita,” said Vidamia Sanchez, a resident of Goshen, Ind., where she lived with her daughter until March 6.
After an argument, Michealle Archila, 16, left home that night, Sanchez said.
Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies have been contacted and have made multiple unsuccessful attempts to find the girl at her father’s home, officials said.
“We’ve been out there twice, but we’ve not located the girl,” said Lt. Brenda Cambra of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, adding the father has been contacted by his parole agent. “At this point, we have not located this child in this area.”
Sanchez said her ex-husband moved to California after gaining parole from an Indiana state prison, and he moved to the Santa Clarita Valley.
She has not heard from her daughter since their argument, and is asking anyone who might have information about Archila’s whereabouts to contact local law enforcement officials.
The number for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station is 661-255-1121.
A report is on file with the girl’s information on the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children website.
