Newhall Public Safety/Crime Report for August 1-7, 2016
08/01/16
Residential Burglary – 25000 block Walnut Street; Person(s) attempted to force entry into the victim’s residence through a kitchen window; however, entry was not made into the location.
08/02/16
Vehicle Burglary – 21200 block Bottletree Lane; Person(s) unknown forced entry into the victim’s vehicle (2008 Chevy Tahoe) by prying open the rear hatch window and stole the third row seat (black leather).
Vehicle Burglary – Deputy Jake Dr. / Valle Del Oro; Person(s) unknown shattered the victim’s passenger side window and stole a black LED flashlight.
08/04/16
Vehicle Burglary – Dockweiler Dr. / Valle Del Oro; Person(s) unknown forced entry into the victim’s vehicle by prying open the driver’s side door lock and stole items (car stereo , “Dodger’s” baseball cap)
Petty Theft – 22100 block Placeritos Blvd.; Person(s) unknown entered victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole items (brown wallet) containing a driver’s license, social security card, and numerous credit cards in the victim’s name.
Petty Theft -22100 block Placeritos Blvd.; The suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole items (“Beats” headphones, and two baseball caps).
08/05/16
Vehicle Burglary – 23800 block Newhall Ave.; Person(s) unknown shattered the victim’s rear window and ransacked the vehicle. Nothing appeared to have been stolen.
Commercial Burglary – 24000 block Newhall Ave.; Person(s) unknown forced entry and stole a cash register containing $100 in U.S. currency.
