Good Afternoon Canyon Country residents, I’m the new Zone 8 leader. A little about myself, I’ve been a Deputy for 13-1/2 years. I’ve spent the last seven years in patrol where I worked Lancaster Sheriff Station for four years and been assigned to Santa Clarita Sheriff Station for the last three.

 

Here are the last week’s Part 1 crimes that occurred in Canyon Country East (Zone 8):

 

A robbery occurred near the 17000 Deana Lane two suspects were arrested for entering the victim’s apartment and using fear to steal the victim’s property.

A burglary occurred near the 27000 Nugget Drive the victim was inside her home when she walked into her attached garage and saw the suspect inside who was holding a trash bag filled with the victim’s clothing. The suspect ran out the garage, northbound down the alley.

A burglary occurred near the 27000 Evi Lane person(s) unknown entered the location through the balcony’s unlocked sliding glass door. The suspect stole a television from the living room.

A burglary occurred near the 28000 Lost Springs Road person(s) unknown entered the location, ransacked the location and stole a tool kit and costume jewelry.

A burglary occurred near the 14300 Cascade Court two suspects entered the location via the unlocked bathroom window. The suspects ransacked the home and stole numerous items.

A burglary occurred near the 28300 Sand Canyon Road person unknown entered the location through a window. No items were taken, however the window and drywall were damaged during the entry.

A burglary occurred near the 27400 Anthony Lane person(s) unknown entered the garage and stole her garage door opener, vehicle registration. No signs of forced entry.

Attempt burglary occurred near the 17800 Deanna Lane the suspect attempted to make entry via the patio door, while two other suspects were knocking at the front door. The suspects fled the location prior to deputies’ arrival.

A vehicle theft occurred near the 19300 Golden Valley Road person(s) unknown stole the victim’s vehicle which was parked at the location.

A vehicle theft occurred near the intersection of Jakes Way and Sandy Drive, person(s) unknown stole the victim’s vehicle which was parked at the location.

A domestic violence incident occurred near the 14600 Lotus Petal Court, the suspect and victim have been dating for a year. On the incident date, the suspect strangled the victim when he found out the victim had a social media account.

A shoplifting occurred 19300 Golden Valley Road the suspect entered the store and stole electronics and clothes. The suspect told the arresting deputy that she did not have any money prior to entering the location.

A shoplifting occurred 19300 Golden Valley Road the suspect entered the store and used a knife to cut open the packages. He placed the items in his pocket and walked out of the store without any attempt to pay for the items.
