Note to future burglars: going back to the scene of the crime for your tools almost always guarantees a free ride to the sheriff’s station in the back of a black and white car.
Timothy Charles Woodhead, 24, allegedly entered a garage at the Vista Valencia golf course on Trevino Drive around 6:45 a.m. and attempted to steal two vehicle batteries.
When an employee confronted him, Woodhead fled the scene.
Shortly afterward, the employee called the sheriff’s department and said that Woodhead had returned to retrieve his bolt cutters and pliers.
Deputies took him into custody and booked him at the Santa Clarita Valley sheriff’s station on suspicion of attempted burglary. He’s being held in lieu of $20,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in Superior Court on Friday.
