[KHTS] – A woman was handcuffed outside of a Santa Clarita bank on the 19400 block of Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country on Wednesday, according to Sheriff’s Station officials.
Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies were called to the location after a bank official reported a suspected forgery, said Sheriff’s Station Lt. Tom Byski.
Sheriff’s Station deputies received the call at 5:46 p.m., Bryski said.
Kristal Wendelsmith, 23, of Santa Clarita, was in custody for suspicion of false documents, according to Sheriff’s Department arrest records.
Wendelsmith is being held at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station in lieu of $50,000 bail as of Thursday morning.
She is expected at Los Angeles Superior Court in San Fernando on Friday.

Her name is given, then the following paragraph says her name was not released. It says she was handcuffed, then not in custody????? Did anyone proof this or am I having an aneurysm?

Is she suspected of being booked or expected to be booked??? I have never nagged SCV for their reporting, I like their style and realize this isn’t the NY Times, but I could not let this go.
