[News Release] – Jill Mellady, president of Mellady Direct Marketing, was nominated for the 13th annual Women in Business Awards, presented by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal. The awards honor women in business who make a positive impact in the San Fernando Valley region. The awards were presented Tuesday at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Universal City, with more than 500 women in attendance.

Based in Santa Clarita with regional, national and international clients, Mellady Direct Marketing specializes in integrated marketing solutions for a wide range of businesses and nonprofit, providing design, printing and mailing services, as well as social media marketing and public relations services. Mellady founded the company with her husband, Jim, CEO, in 1986.

Literally founded in a dining room, Mellady Direct Marketing has grown into a firm that serves national corporations, local businesses and everyone in between, providing everything from advertising to branding. Mellady Direct’s work with nonprofit organizations has included rebranding and appeal development that has played an integral part in successful fundraising campaigns.

Her nonprofit involvement extends past representing her clients. Mellady serves on the boards of the College of the Canyons Foundation, the SCV CEO Group, the SCV Sheriff Foundation and the Valley Industry Association. She is a past member of the boards of the Child & Family Center of SCV, the Michael Hoefflin Foundation for Children’s Cancer, the National Association of Women Business Owners, the SCV Repertory Theatre and the United Way SCV Advisory Board. She also founded the Nonprofit Leadership Committee and SCV Legacy Giving. In addition to VIA, she is a member of the SCV Chamber of Commerce. She was named volunteer of the year by the Michael Hoefflin Foundation and is a past nominee for SCV Woman of the Year.
