[KHTS] – Deputies are searching for the suspect of an alleged purse-snatching incident that occurred in a parking lot in Canyon Country Saturday morning, Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station officials said.
“Deputies responded to a purse-snatch, strong-arm robbery,” said Sgt David Shoemaker. “They are still searching for the suspect.”
The incident reportedly occurred at approximately 11:15 a.m. in the Bank of America parking lot located at 19200 Soledad Canyon Road, and the suspect was still at large as of 11:50 a.m.
No information regarding the victim was available immediately after the incident, but no injuries have been reported, Shoemaker said.
A description of the suspect was not immediately available Saturday afternoon.
