2004 - Last day in Sacramento for Sen. Pete Knight, who succumbs one month later to a sudden onset of leukemia [story]
Pete Knight

A new interactive map has been added to the William S. Hart Union High School District website illustrating the five Trustee Area Voting boundaries in the Santa Clarita Valley.

On March 11,  the Hart School District Governing Board approved a voting map for the District Trustee Areas, in accordance with the California Voting Rights Act (CVRA).  On May 6, 2015, the Los Angeles County Committee on School District Organization approved the boundary map created by the Dolinka Group after getting input from the community.

Each of the five governing board members now represent one of five boundary areas that encompass the Hart School District.  Beginning with the November 2015 election, only voters living in a particular boundary area will be entitled to vote for their representative.

But not all board members will be voted on in the same election (Gloria Mercado-Fortine and Steve Sturgeon are up for re-election November, 2015).  To find out what area you live in, click on the link below.  You can zoom in and out on the map on that page, or you can type your address in the provided field to see exactly which trustee area you are in.
