A two-day hearing has been set in January in Santa Clara County to consider revoking serial rapist Christopher Hubbart’s release after he violated multiple terms of his conditional release.
Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Richard Loftus said the hearing will be held on Jan. 9 and 10 in Department 32 at the Santa Clara County Superior Court. Some parts of the hearing might be closed due to the nature of the evidence to be presented. The judge will consider motions by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office to keep the hearings open to the public.
Hubbart, 65, was taken into custody at his Lake Los Angeles residence on Aug. 9 by Coalinga State Hospital police officers after he violated several terms of his conditional release, including failing five polygraph tests.
The judge will decide whether to recommit Hubbart to Coalinga State Hospital for a minimum of one year.
