Canyon Country West, Zone 7

[LASD] – This past week in Zone 7, the following Part-1 crimes occurred:

(1) Attempted Rape, (1) Robbery, (1) Aggravated Assault, (1) Residential Burglary (1) Burglary/Other Structure, (3) Commercial Burglaries, (3) Petty Thefts, (3) GTAs/(2) Recovered.

An attempted rape was reported on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012. The incident occurred approximately 1½ years ago. The incident is currently under investigation.

On Thursday November 15th 2012, a strong arm robbery occurred near the intersection of Sierra Canyon Rd and Soledad Canyon Rd. The victim was approached by two male Hispanic suspects while seated at a bus stop. The suspects hit and kicked the victim and took his cell phone. The suspects then fled the scene on foot.

A burglary of a detached garage occurred near the 26900 block of Flo Ln. Taken during the burglary, was the victim’s 2010 Honda Accord.

On Friday November 23rd 2012, a commercial burglary occurred near the 19300 block of Soledad Canyon Rd. The suspect entered the location and took an Android Tablet without paying for it. When confronted by store employees, the suspect fled the scene.

A suspect was arrested when it was determined he took a purse from an unlocked vehicle. The incident occurred near the 26700 block of Claudette St.

Three vehicles were stolen last week. All have been recovered.
