Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Crime Prevention Unit
Last week in Canyon Country-East we only had 4 Part-1 crimes. Of those reported crimes, there were 2 residential burglaries, 1 larceny, and 1 vehicle burglary.
A residential burglary occurred in the 27600 block of Marta Lane between March 14th 7:00 PM and March 15th 7:15 AM. Entrance was made through the locked garage. The victim’s vehicle was ransacked and the garage remote was stolen. There was no sign of forced entry.
A petty theft occurred in 27600 block of Spencer Court. A bicycle was stolen from an unlocked garage between March 8th 11:55 pm and March 9th 9:00 AM. The tailgate of a 2004 Ford F-250 was stolen while it was parked on Shadow Pines near Grandifloras Road, between March 15th 6:00 PM and March 16th 9:30 AM.
A vehicle burglary occurred in the 23700 block of Fahren Court between March 14th 11:00 PM and March 15th 9:00 AM. The window was smashed and electronics were stolen .
There were 7 arrest made by proactive deputies for various narcotics violations, assaults and public intoxication.
Make sure to always park in well-lit areas and be cognizant of your surroundings. If you see any suspicious activity either close to your home or while you are out shopping, call the Sheriff’s station at (661) 255-1121 or 9-1-1 in an emergency.
