CIF Soccer logoThe CIF Southern Section has released the playoff brackets for the various divisions of boys and girls high school soccer.

 

Boys

Foothill League champion Hart (13-5-3) will host Colony of Ontario (16-5-3), the third place finisher out of the Mt. Baldy League.  The Division 4 first round game will be held Thursday at 3pm

Second place finisher Valencia (12-10-4) will be on the road Thursday in the first round to play Salesian of Los Angeles (9-7-1), champions of the Sante Fe League.

West Ranch (7-9-3) finished third in league but must play out of the wild card round which begins Tuesday at 3 pm.  The Wildcats host Bishop Montgomery of Torrance (8-10-1), the third place finisher in the Del Rey League.

Saugus (10-10-3) makes the playoffs with an at-large berth into Division 4 and will be on the road Tuesday afternoon for a wild card match against Culver City (10-9-2), which finished third in the Ocean League.

In Division 7, Trinity Classical Academy (4-11) and Albert Einstein Academy (5-5) will both start their playoff push in the wild card round Tuesday afternoon.  The Knights will host Santa Clara of Oxnard (7-6-1) while the Rockets will travel to Simi Valley to take on Grace Brethren (9-8-2).

 

Girls

Unless otherwise noted, all girls soccer playoff matches will be played Friday at 3 pm.

Foothill League champion Hart (14-5-4) will host Ventura (9-5-4), the third place finisher of the Channel League, in the Division 2 first round.

Valencia (18-3-2) will host the Channel League’s second place team Santa Barbara (4-5-3).

Canyon (14-6-4) must travel to Newbury Park (14-4-2) to take on the Marmonte League runner-up.

West Ranch (10-9-5) was granted an at-large berth  and will host a Wednesday afternoon wild card game against San Marcos (9-4-4), the Channel League’s No. 4 team.

Undefeated Santa Clarita Christian (16-0-4) will host their Friday first round game in Division 7 against Dunn of Los Olivos (5-5), which finished second in the Condor League.
