Here’s a look back at the crimes reported in the Newhall area last week:
On Friday the 17th, between 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., an assault took place in the 24700 block of Walnut Street. Station detectives are working on identifying the 28 year old suspect.
Between Wednesday the 15th at 8:30 p.m., and Thursday the 16th at 11:00 a.m., the trunk of a of a vehicle was pried open in the 23600 block of Newhall Avenue. 2 duffel bags of gym and exercise equipment were stolen.
Between Thursday the 16th at 11:30 p.m., and Friday the 17th at 9:00 a.m., stereo equipment and an “I-pod” were stolen from a pick-up truck in the 24400 block of Leonard Tree Lane.
Between Friday the 10th, and Monday the 13th, a 1998 “Mercury” Sable was stolen near Ficus Drive and Sweet Shade Lane. The vehicle was recovered nearby on Thursday the 16th.
Between Friday the 10th, and Monday the 13th, a 1998 “Ford” Expedition was stolen from the 24300 block of Day Lily Drive. The vehicle was recovered in Santa Clarita on Thursday the 16th.
On Monday the 13th, between 11:40 p.m. and 11:59 p.m., a suitcase containing clothing was stolen while the victim was sleeping on a bench in the 24300 block of Railroad Avenue.
There were four narcotic and theft related arrests from a nuisance residence on De Wolfe Road last week. The location has been tagged uninhabitable by the city, and detectives are working with them on a criminal abatement.
Remember to lock your doors and windows, don’t leave packages or valuables in plain view, and be aware of your surroundings. Be a good neighbor and report suspicious behavior.
