Update as of 5:49 p.m.: The #StoneFire is currently at approximately 900-1,000 acres, with 10% containment and no structures have been damaged. But nine homes have been evacuated, according to Inspector Joey Marron of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“As far as the acreage, just so you know, that fluctuates with every fire,” Marron said. “Until we walk it and GPS it, we’re not gonna have the exact number. So that number can either grow or significantly drop.”
Marron also said there is no word yet as to how the fire started.
“It’s still too early,” Marron said. “That’s still being investigated.”
The fire was first dispatched at 12:29 p.m. Monday afternoon and units were on the scene by 12:40 p.m.
