SCVTV will televise Tuesday’s CIF Southern Section Baseball Semifinal between the Hart Indians and Saugus Centurions on Wednesday June 3rd. The game will air at 4PM and 9PM on Time Warner channel 20, AT&T U-verse channel 99, and stream online at SCVTV.com

This is the first time that two Foothill league teams will play against one another this deep in the CIF-SS playoffs. The winner will advance to the CIF Southern Section Division 1 Finals on Saturday, June 6^th at San Manuel Stadium.

This will be the third matchup between these two teams this season, with Hart picking up the only win in the series, 4-2 in eight innings. The other previous game ended in a 2-2 tie after the game was called in the 13^th inning due to darkness.

Hart was the number one Foothill league after winning the Foothill league championship. They defeated Alemany, Calabasas and the number one team in the nation according to Max Preps, JSerra, to advance to the semifinals.

Saugus was given the number three Foothill league ranking and was forced to play their way into the playoffs. The defeated Newbury Park in the wildcard round before knocking off the number 4 team in the Southern Section, Notre Dame in the opening round. The Centurions then defeated Capistrano Valley and Arlington to advance to the semifinals.

Hart is expected to start Paul Richan while Saugus will likely counter with Chase Wheatcroft. Opening pitch is 2PM at Cougar Field at College of the Canyons.
