foothill-league-football-teams-support-appeal-new-cifHigh school football once again returns to your television set and computer screen as SCVTV starts its full season of games Friday, August 28. Games are telecast on Time Warner Cable Channel 20 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99 as well as online at SCVTV.com. Televised game time is 11 p.m. following the conclusion of the game.

The first “Parkway Motors Valencia Game of the Week” for the 2015 season pits the Golden Valley Grizzlies against the Antelope Valley Antelopes. The Grizzlies are coming off a 3-7 season under first year coach Dan Kelley, still without a foothill league win but coming ever so close a few times, including a heartbreaking 26-23 overtime loss to West Ranch.

The Valencia Vikings are once again the team to beat as they took home their 6th straight Foothill League Championship after a wild second half come from behind 28-27 victory over rival Hart to claim the title.

All six teams will have much different looks in 2015 as a number of key Foothill League players have graduated including Valencia’s Jay Jay Wilson, Hart’s Brady White and Trent Irwin, Canyon’s Isreal and Liam Cabrera and Saugus’s Troy Williams.

Outside the foothill league, both Trinity Classical Academy and Santa Clarita Christian will compete in 11-man football, and will play for the first time in history at that level.

This years schedule includes high profile non-league matchups between Thousand Oaks vs. Canyon, Chaminade vs. Valencia, Agoura vs. Saugus, and Ventura vs. Hart. The schedule will also feature the first ever 11-man football battle between Santa Clarita Christian and Trinity Classical.

A new broadcast team will step in to bring you all the action as SCVTV Sports Director Matt Robinson will take over the play-by-play duties, being joined by former Canyon Cowboys assistant coach Cesar Arevalo, providing fans with superb insight and knowledge of Santa Clarita high school football.

The “Parkway Motors Valencia Game of the Week” can also be seen at various times throughout the week or on-demand any time at SCVTV.com:
