“Halloween at the Castle,” Real Life Church’s third annual Halloween event, sponsored by KHTS AM-1220, is coming up on Saturday from 3 to 8 p.m. at their Valencia campus.
Activities are planned for all ages, including live entertainment and plenty of candy.
Set in a Medieval Castle, guests can enjoy jesters, jugglers and stilt walkers and engage in “tests of artistry, skill and bravery,” according to the Real Life website.
Performances throughout the afternoon and evening include:
- Jousting Event – Guests can watch knights and their horses engage in a traditional jousting tournament.
- Aerial Act – Performers will demonstrating their skill as they “dance” in the air.
- Archery Skills Test – Guests can test their skills and try to hit the bullseye by shooting a play-like bow and arrow.
- King’s Court – The “King” and “Queen” will be accepting visitors. Children can also face the “Black Knight” in a simulated sword fight.
- Trunk or Treat – Across the “drawbridge” more than 100 cars decorated for Halloween will be serving candy.
- Town Hall – Inside the building, the “Town Hall” will feature themed rooms where costumed characters hand out even more candy.
Due to the growing popularity of this event, off-site parking will be available at Westfield Valencia Town Center in the lot on the corner of Magic Mountain Parkway and Citrus Street, and at Mann Biomedical Park on Rye Canyon Loop. There will be a free shuttle service to and from Real Life Church every 15 minutes.
Handicap parking only will be available on the Real Life campus.
