Saturday night, the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons presents a truly revolutionary group: The United Kingdom Ukulele Orchestra, or TUKUO for short. The British imports play finely tuned mini-ukulele guitars while dressed in formal evening wear. But the Orchestra is not classical, and definitely not Hawaiian. The musicians play everything from swing to rock, oldies to current hits, and top ’em off with great vocal harmonies and a bit o’ British humor. The United Kingdom Ukulele Orchestra takes the stage at 8 Saturday night. For tickets, call the PAC box office 661-362-4304 or visit canyonspac dot com.
And speaking of “House Blend,” if you missed the Season 5 premiere featuring Sabrina & Craig last weekend, you can catch a special encore telecast THIS Saturday night at 10. The “Troubadours of the Human Experience” perform four songs, including world premieres of a couple tunes from the duo’s upcoming second album, titled “Green” and due next year.
