Daniel Hoyoisaza
[KHTS] – Three alleged attacks on two separate campuses left a suspect in custody and the colleges warning their students over the weekend.
Daniel Hoyoisaza, 20, was arrested by University of California Los Angeles police officers and accused of grabbing two women on that campus in a pair of alleged sexual assaults.Daniel Hoyoisaza, 20, suspect
In the first instance at Rieber Hall, Hoyoisaza is accused of grabbing a woman from behind and attempting to sexually assault her, UCLA police said.
The second assailant, in an unrelated incident, broke into a student’s dorm room at California State University Northridge and startled a female student awake before taking some of her things and then running out of a window.
In the UCLA incident, two witnesses broke up the attack and the man fled.
He also is accused of grabbing another woman on campus later that evening.
Police officers say Hoyoisaza was captured on camera, leaving a dormitory. He is not a student at UCLA, according to officials.
He was later found and arrested, and he’s being held at Men’s Central Jail in lieu of $1.1 million bail, according to arrest records.
In the attack at CSUN, the suspect is still at large, and has not yet been identified.
A female student at Cal State Northridge awoke Saturday morning to a man standing over her, touching her bare leg, campus police said.
The intruder – described as a black male, about 25 years old with a scar on his chin – grabbed the victim’s wallet and several documents before running from the dorm room, CSUN police said.
He is described as about 6 feet tall, 180 pounds with short black hair, dark-colored eyes and a thin, athletic build. He was last seen wearing a red Adidas hooded sweatshirt with white lettering and light-colored blue jeans.
Anyone with information in that case is urged to call CSUN police at 818-677-TIPS (8477), and callers can remain anonymous.
