Just passed right by there. Had that street blocked and Eyewitness 7 News was there. That small area always has some drama.

  2. Actually I live on Shangri-la hill. Its a very nice, quiet neighborhood when non residents stay out of it!

  3. So if there is a homicide detective there, was the person killed or is this a just in case the suspect doesn’t make it?

  4. Saw and heard the helicopter. Figured it was something serious.

  5. Stay safe Deputies ?❤️?❤️?❤️

  6. Anelle Iglesias this is what happened!!!

  7. Be safe and vigilant Deputies! Thank you for your and your families sacrifices everyday to keep us safe.

  8. Well. Streets are still blocked off because of sheriff investigation

  9. Ralph Green says:

    Dont trust the badge

    • Then don’t call 911 ever if you are in need of help.

    • Ralph Green says:

I Dont trust the badge cause if u run into one today it’s all intimidation. Kimberly Jellings Shaughnessy I’ve been in a few emergency situations. The key is staying calm and asses as nessessary. My tour in Afghanistan tought me everything I need to know to go in and get out of dangerous situations so 911 is more of an option if needed. But after a cop decides to punk on u for being in the military cause “you couldn’t find a career” and “you did nothing for this country” you tell me how much respect u have for a badge.

  10. Rocio Garcia says:

    look Maria De La Rosa

  11. I don’t care about the suspect. Sorry. As long as our Officer was unharmed, then thats what matters.

  12. Shirley says:

omg……….We all live here, we can take any route through anywhere whenever we want. Stop being so territorial people.

  13. Dave Rickmers says:

Cops shouldn’t be alone, especially at night. What’s the lethal range of a knife, anyway? This is right near where they killed a mental patient waving a piece of scrap metal a while back. Bullies are a genetic aberration.

  14. so cal guy says:

    Don’t trust the badge?

  15. Eric Cartman says:

A person can cover a 20 foot gap with a knife in hand in about 2 seconds. Knives can penetrate the bullet proof vests law enforcement use as they are made of materials and are designed to stop blunt force trauma injuries inflicted by a bullet. A knife easily penetrates these vests and thus are considered a lethal threat when encountered. Depending on the distance between the deputy and the subject, the only option may be to draw and fire. It’s a lot to process in such a short time. You have to identify the threat, make the decision to use lethal force, then act. All of this in about 2 seconds. It’s a sad thing someone lost their life. It’s unfortunate the individual was allegedly combative and posed such a threat that lethal force had to be used. The decision to threaten the deputy was his and his alone. He could have chosen to act differentl. He could have surrendered himself and been taken into custody for possession of the knife. Whatever the outcome of the investigation, I’m grateful for the job our Sheriffs do. It’s not easy, not one bit. You see and hear all the worst things that occur in our city and deal with some pretty unsavory characters on a daily basis. I’m glad the deputy is safe and was able to go home to his/her family and wish them well in the upcoming process they have to go through after a shooting.

    • Dave Rickmers says:

Article says a knife was found. Now the dead guy was brandishing it meanacingly. How about knife vs car door while waiting for tasers and or beanbags etc?

  16. Instead of the sheriffs shooting ppl on our street maybe they could sit a cruiser here at 7-8am and nail all the speeders flying through the area.

  17. Sarrah Cina says:

Ricci Lynn Ackerman this was by your house saw it at 1030 when I was headed home..

  18. Kristina Joy says:

My boyfriend and I wanted to go to Hibiki last night and we couldn’t get in, this is why! Wow!

  19. Wow i live here didnt even know!!
