Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Crime Prevention Unit
This past week in Zone 7, the following Part-1 Crimes occurred:
(1) Robbery, (2) Commercial Burglaries, (2) Vehicle Burglaries, (3) Shoplift, (1) Grand Theft, (1) Attempted Grand Theft, (1) Petty Theft.
A robbery occurred near the 19200 block of Soledad Canyon Road. A male black suspect, wearing a ski mask, entered the store, produced a silver handgun and demanded money. After taking money from the cash register, the suspect fled toward Soledad Canyon Road and out of view. This case is currently under investigation.
A commercial burglary occurred near the 18700 block of Via Princessa. An unknown suspect attempted to pry open the ATM machine inside the location after hours. The suspect was unsuccessful in his efforts.
We had two more vehicle burglaries occur in Zone 7. A vehicle burglary occurred at the LA Fitness parking lot located at 26455 Golden Valley Road. The suspect shattered the rear passenger side window of the victim’s vehicle and took items from the center console. The second window smash burglary occurred in a parking lot located near the 26600 block of Valley Center Drive. A purse was taken from the rear floorboard.
A grand theft occurred near the 26400 block of Sierra Highway. While making a transaction at the teller window, the suspect took approximately ten bank envelopes filled with money and left the location.
A suspect was arrested for shoplifting from the Wal-Mart located at 26471 Carl Boyer Drive. The suspect attempted to exit the store without paying for several items.
A shoplifting incident occurred near the 20600 block of Golden Valley Road. The suspect walked out of the location after failing to pay for items he concealed in the pockets of his pants. The suspect was arrested by responding deputies.
