U.S. Rep. Howard “Buck” McKeon has been interviewing candidates to replace his former communications director and is looking to name her successor soon, the congressman’s deputy chief of staff said Thursday.
Lindsey Mask, who served as McKeon’s communications director for the past five years, announced late last week that she has taken a job with K Street public relations firm Global Vision Communications.
“Lindsey was offered a wonderful opportunity to serve as a lead person in a growing D.C.-based strategic public relations firm,” McKeon said in a statement. He said the firm “aims to help business leaders in corporations and associations across the country develop and implement integrated communications, marketing, and online strategies.”
McKeon spokesman Bob Haueter said Thursday that McKeon “is incredibly grateful for the time Lindsey served his office and wishes her all the best in her new endeavors.”
McKeon “is in the process of filling the position and is hoping to have an announcement relatively soon,” Haueter said.
