Narcotics officers from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department have broken up a sophisticated, $4 million marijuana farming operation in the forest north of Santa Clarita, an official confirmed Tuesday.
Deputy Alex Radovic said members of the sheriff’s Marijuana Enforcement Bureau were airlifted Monday into the Poison Oak Canyon area of the Angeles National Forest where they found 2,719 marijuana plants that were approximately 24 weeks old.
With help from the sheriff’s Aero Bureau, narcotics officers confiscated the plants together with camping gear, irrigation equipment, pesticides and several thousand pounds of fertilizer, Radovic said.
No suspects were located, and an investigation is ongoing. Radovic said deputies estimated the street value of the confiscated plants at slightly more than $4 million.
Poison Oak Canyon is located off of Pine Canyon Road about two miles east of Sandberg at the top of the Ridge Route. It is about six miles east of the Interstate 5-Highway 138 interchange south of Gorman.

Declaration of Rights of Cannabis Users
Mission Statement: To bring an end to cannabis prohibition in 2013 by gathering signatory members through promotion and declaring our rights through the document, “Declaration of Rights of Cannabis Users”. Giving prohibitionists reasonable opportunity to affect appropriate, timely and agreed upon change and, if necessary enforcing our rights in a peaceful way. After April 20 2013 adopting a zero tolerance for acts of brutality and injustice by prohibitionists.
The laws regarding cannabis were born on the wings of lies and pampered by propaganda such that now the tightly held belief systems are going to have to reckon with the desire of all humanity to live with dignity, free from the oppressive tyranny that ignorance and bigotry have spawned.
