Snapshot for 02/23/2015 to 03/01/2015
An attempted murder occurred near the 25400 block of Tournament Road. The suspect and the victim are friends and have known each other for some time. They both were in the suspect’s car having a conversation. The suspect became upset during the course of the conversation and stabbed the victim in the chest numerous times. Deputies responded to the scene and quickly located the suspect and the victim. The victim was quickly taken to a local area hospital and was treated for his injuries. The victim made a full recovery. The suspect was arrested from the scene and booked at the Sheriff’s Station for attempted murder.
A robbery occurred near the 28100 block of Smyth Drive. The suspect and the victim were involved in a dating relationship for several years. The suspect waited for the victim to exit her residence and ran up behind her, knocking her down and stealing her purse. The victim also had a restraining order against the suspect. Patrol deputies tracked down the suspect and were able to take him into custody without incident.
A second robbery occurred near the 24200 block of Valencia Boulevard. Suspect(s) unknown broke into the display case inside the store and stole numerous watches valued at $2700 dollars.
A burglary occurred near the 28000 block of Newhall Ranch Road. Two male Hispanics entered the location and stole two Dewalt combo kits valued at $1000 dollars. Both suspects ran out of the location and into a Green Mercury Villager with purple plates.
A vehicle burglary occurred near the 28500 block of Westinghouse Place. Suspect(s) unknown broke into the victim’s vehicle (2013 Chevy Tahoe) and stole his 3rd row seat. Entry appeared to have been made through the rear lift gate.
A second vehicle burglary occurred near the 28500 Westinghouse Place. Suspect(s) unknown broke into the victim’s vehicle (2013 Chevy Suburban) and stole the 3rd row seat. Entry was made through the rear window.
Another vehicle burglary occurred near the 27600 block of Dickason Drive. Suspect(s) unknown punched the door lock to the victim’s vehicle and was able to gain entry into the victim’s vehicle and stole her credit card.
