Burglary (occurred between dates of 09/25/16 – 09/28/16)

26500 block of Chiffchaff Court

While the victim was in the hospital, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s home and stole several pieces of jewelry. The suspect shattered the window to gain access into the location.

 

09/26/16

Burglary (Residence): 25800 block of Nashua Way

Unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s residence through a window and stole several items including a laptop, tablet, miscellaneous watches and cash.

Grand theft: 24200 block of Magic Mountain Parkway

Three female suspects entered the location and placed numerous items inside their purses and exited the store without paying for the items. The suspects walked out of the store and left in an unknown direction.

 

09/27/16

Burglary (Garage): 25000 block of Magic Mountain Parkway

An unknown suspect entered the victim’s garage and stole 2 bikes.

Grand Theft Auto

25500 block of La Gosta Place

An unknown suspect stole the victim’s 2003 Chevy Silverado truck from the location.

 

09/30/16

Shoplifting/Under the Influence/Possession of drug paraphernalia

24400 block of Magic Mountain Parkway

A male suspect was arrested from the location for stealing items and exiting the store without paying for the items. The suspect was also under the influence of a controlled substance.

Burglary (Business)

27100 block of Tourney Road

Two unknown suspects pried open the doors and entered the location. They pried open cabinets inside and stole U.S currency and pain medications.

Petty Theft

24200 block of Valencia Boulevard

An unknown suspect entered the location and stolen several clothing items and fled the location without paying for the items.

 

10/02/16

Grand Theft

27700 block of Briarcliff Place

The victim was in the process of selling her home. She left her home in the care of her realtor. She returned home and noticed several pieces of her jewelry was missing.

Petty Theft, Drunk in Public

27900 block of Seco Canyon Road

The suspect was arrested from at location after he tried to leave the store without paying for items in his shopping cart. The suspect was detained outside the store by two witnesses and was arrested once the deputies arrived.\

 

HALLOWEEN SAFETY TIPS

* Children should trick-or-treat during daylight hours.

* Children should never be allowed to go out alone on Halloween.

* Children should never eat any treats until they have been examined.

* Advise children that they should never enter strangers’ homes.

* Never invite children into your home.

* Children should never accept rides from strangers.

* Children should never take shortcuts through backyards or alleys.

* Set a specific time limit for your children to be out on Halloween night.

* Instruct children not to stray from their group.

* A responsible adult should escort children while trick-or-treating.

* Adult escorts should carry flashlights.

* Don’t leave your home unattended on Halloween night.

* Keep pets inside your home, or other safe place on Halloween night.

* Children should walk, not run, during their trick-or-treat activities.

* Realistic replica firearms should never be used.

* Children should always use sidewalks, not the street, for walking.

* Children should look in all directions before crossing the street.
