Gail Morgan has been added to the Bridge to Home Board of Directors after a recent vote.

Morgan brings 25 plus years of local experience working with the city of Santa Clarita Morgan has served as a board member for the Child and Family Center, the Domestic Violence Center of the Santa Clarita Valley and most recently, with Family Promise of SCV. She also volunteers for the SCV Pregnancy Center, and for the former Foundation for Children’s Dental Health.

Gail Morgan is the city of Santa Clarita’s Communications Manager, where she has worked since 1990. She is responsible for the city’s public and community relations activities, strategic communications including media, audio-video, social media, publications, and graphic design.

“I am delighted and honored to join this dedicated Board and help support the important work of Bridge to Home in our community,” said Morgan.

“Gail is going to be a terrific addition to our Board. The next couple of years will be critical, with major work projects upcoming for Bridge to Home. Gail has experience dealing with these issues and we’re looking forward to working with her,” said Bridge to Home Board President Hunt Braly.

Morgan’s first meeting will be in December at the regular Board meeting and she will join many other community leaders on the Board which include: Hunt Braly, Peggy Edwards, Bret Wims, Andy Pattantyus, Bob Hudson, Erin Ari, Gary Choppe, Bill Brintnall, Gary Choppe, Steve Tannehill, Mark Young, Karen Haskins and Marguerite Berg.

Bridge to Home’s vision is to create a continuum of care, focused on providing comprehensive support services and strategic planning that pave the way for individuals to transition out of homelessness.

Key goals include the relocation of all of its homeless services to a new permanent location which would include the Emergency Winter Shelter along with the expansion of services that will provide comprehensive care, including: medical help, mental health assistance, job resources and placement, case management and access to affordable housing.
