The Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center will be offering a new series of computer classes beginning in May, including a digital camera class.
Participants learn the essentials of using a digital camera. Instructor Gail Eisenberg will also teach you just how easy it is to transfer photos from camera to computer. You’ll even discover how to edit your photos using a free program called “Picassa.”
The digital camera class begins Friday, May 6, 2016 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Costs are $50 for a 6-week course.
Starting Wednesday, May 4, 2016:
Excel – For students wishing to return to work or who need Excel to volunteer. It’s also designed for seniors who want to expand their practical knowledge of computers. Start time is 9 a.m.
Internet & Email – Class is designed to teach the new computer user how to email and how to use the internet successfully. Start time is 10 a.m.
Starting Friday, May 6, 2016:
Computer 1 – Designed for the student who has NO computer experience. Computers will be supplied if needed; you may bring your laptop. Start time is 9 a.m.
Computer 2 – Designed for students who want to learn how to organize their computer data in folders. Learn how to edit text, how to cut, copy and paste and more. Start time is 10 a.m.
Ask It Basket – This class is designed for the student who is using their computer and has questions. All questions are important and valuable for everyone in the class. Start time is 11 a.m.
Digital Camera – Class will focus on how to use your digital camera and how to transfer pictures from your camera to computer. Also learn how to edit your photos using a free program called “Picasa” from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
