A grand theft of a Toyota Corolla occurred during the weekend between the hours of 4:30 pm to 10:00 am. The vehicle was parked on Calex Drive. Please be cautious of your surroundings. Lock all windows/doors to your vehicle and if possible park in well-lit and highly visible areas.
A residential burglary occurred on Friday at the 25400 block of Via Dona Christa Drive between the hours of 7:45 am – 9:00 am. Stolen was a men’s bicycle that was taken while the garage door was left opened. An attempt residential burglary occurred on the 25800 block of Espinoza Drive between 9:00am – 1:00 pm. No entry was made into the residence and no items were stolen. A broken door latch was observed at the scene. As always please remember to lock all windows/doors to your residence and secure valuables in a safe or lock box. Keep serial numbers to valuables handy in case of a theft so that Deputies have the information for the criminal report.
There were a few commercial burglaries that occurred in various areas of Valencia. The items stolen were copper wire, and a mountain bike. Video surveillance was in place for a few of the incidents. Santa Clarita Detectives are currently working these cases.
Two vehicle burglaries occurred at the following locations: 24000 block of Newhall Ranch Road and 24800 block of Avenue Rockefeller. The thefts occurred in the late afternoon during the week. Entries made into the vehicles were via smashed windows and punched door locks. Items stolen were a purse and plumbing equipment which were visible from outside the vehicles. I urge everyone to please secure all personal belongings (purses, book bags, lap tops, etc.) and lock all bed mounted tool boxes. Do not leave items unattended or visible in your vehicles. Remember to secure your vehicles by rolling up all windows and locking all doors.
