A look back at the crimes reported in the Newhall area last week:

On Monday the 3rd, between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., a residential burglary occurred in the 24500 block of Acorn Court.  The victim said she had left her sliding door unlocked.  Taken was prescription medication.

On Wednesday the 5th a 27 year old male was arrested for shoplifting at a business in the 24100 block of Lyons Avenue.

A wallet was stolen from a vehicle sometime between Sunday the 2nd, and Monday the 3rd, in the 23000 block of Hillside Lane.  An ATM card from the wallet was later used for a purchase at a local gas station.

On Thursday the 6th a 56 year old male was arrested near 6th Street and Main Street after he was observed by a citizen attempting to open parked vehicles.

Remember to lock your doors and windows, don’t leave valuables in plain view, be aware of your surroundings, and report suspicious behavior.
