GENERAL PROGRAM INFORMATION:

• Procession

• Services Inside Church (program to be provided)
• Pallbearer Escort into Courtyard
• Outside Tribute: Honor Guard, Flag Folding, Presentation of Flags, Taps, Bagpipe, 21 Gun Salute, Missing Man Flyover
• Riderless Horse (Steve Owen’s horse MAX)

NO INTERMENT OR GRAVESITE CEREMONY

Although the service for Steve Owen is closed to the general public based on capacity concerns, all law enforcement agencies; current or retired law enforcement officers; agency professional staff members or other classifications; dignitaries, past and present; and other public officials, community leaders, support groups, hospital or medical professionals, first responders, fire department personnel, etc., are welcome and encouraged to attend in person and join us in paying tribute to Steve. In addition, those in the community who were closest to Steve and the family, such as those Steve coached or grew up with, are definitely invited and encouraged to attend.

ROAD CLOSURES AND PROCESSION:

The procession will begin at approximately 8:00 AM on Thursday morning and the potential for intermittent or full closures should be expected on any all the below listed Lancaster area streets, during the indicated times. The procession will start on Southbound Sierra Highway, south of Lancaster Boulevard and continue as follows:

• Southbound Sierra Highway to East Avenue L

• Eastbound East Avenue L to 30th Street East

• Northbound 30th Street East to East Avenue J

• Eastbound East Avenue J to 40th Street East

• Northbound 40th Street East to East Lancaster Boulevard

East Lancaster Boulevard, between 40th Street East and 50th Street East will also be impacted.

Residents in the Lancaster area should expect road closures and potential delays, primarily between the hours of 6:30 AM and 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 13, 2016. Less significant delays should be anticipated in the afternoon at the conclusion of the service.
