The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is inviting the public to upcoming events supporting the High Desert Fallen Heroes Fund.

On Saturday October 7th, join LASD for the 1st Annual Sergeant Steve Owen Memorial Crossfit Work-Out.

The event will be at Crossfit Inner Chamber located at 42247 12th Street West #101 in Lancaster. The doors will open at 7:30am with the first heat starting at 8:10am. A lunch will be provided for $20 with all the proceeds going to the Fallen Heroes Fund.

Then on Sunday October 8th, join LASD and Antelope Valley Harley Davidson for the Fallen Heroes Poker Run. The ride will start at 10:00am with registration starting at 8:00am at the Harley Davidson shop. $30 per rider or $40 per couple. This will include an event t-shirt, one poker hand, one lunch ticket and one ride pin.

Even if you are not a rider, the event is open to all. There will be live music, food and a 50/50 raffle.

All proceeds will go to the Fallen Heroes Fund.

As the awful date of Oct. 5th approaches, LASD is keeping its spirits high and thanking its community and all of its supporters, such as these two businesses who continue to remember the heroes who paid the ultimate price.
