Supervisor Kathryn Barger will join students, families and staff of Mint Canyon Community School and residents of Canyon Country to celebrate the installation of a new traffic signal on Sierra Highway at the entrance to the school.
“Student safety is our highest priority and we were pleased to work with Principal Roni Andrus and the Sulphur Springs Union School District to provide this vital traffic safety improvement for our community,” said Supervisor Barger.
“So many of us in the community are happy to see the light go up, and we thank Supervisor Barger for her support in making it safer for us to get our children to school,” said Mint Canyon Community School Principal Roni Andrus.
Sulphur Springs Union School District Superintendent Kawaguchi stated, “the Board of Trustees and I greatly appreciate the hard work and dedication that has taken place to ensure that children, family, and community safety continues to be a number one priority in our County.”

My girls who are now in their 40’s went to Mint Canyon Elementary. I hope it is as good an elementary school now as it was then.
