Once again, Wednesday air quality in the Santa Clarita Valley was unhealthy for sensitive individuals and will be unhealthy for all on Thursday, according to the latest update from the South Coast Air Quality Management District.
The alert also warns of air quality unhealthy for sensitive individuals residing in the East San Gabriel Valley.
Los Angeles County Health Officer Muntu Davis, MD, MPH, advises people living or working in these areas with heart disease, asthma or other respiratory diseases to minimize outdoor activities.
Children who have sensitive conditions, including heart disease, asthma, and other chronic respiratory diseases, should not participate in outdoor physical activity at schools, camps and other recreational programs and should stay indoors as much as possible.
