Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies arrested a 21-year-old man who had an outstanding warrant and was allegedly in possession of cocaine in Canyon Country early Thursday, according to a post on the station’s Facebook page late Friday afternoon.
Here’s the story:
Deputies were patrolling Canyon Country in the early morning hours of Thursday and observed two male adults near Sierra Highway and Soledad Canyon Road. One was on a skateboard, the other on a bicycle.
Deputies made contact with them to check and see if everything was good, because after all, it was dark, cold, AND 3 in the morning.
Deputies learned that the 24-year-old skateboarder was on active probation for burglary.
The bicyclist was a 21-year-old man who was found to have a $100,000 warrant for battery in the system. Deputies also discovered he was in possession of cocaine.
The bicyclist was arrested on the warrant and narcotics charges. He was transported and booked at the station.
The probationer was not arrested, as he was not found to be involved in any criminal activity.
