The CIF Southern Section released the playoff brackets for high school basketball Sunday with several Santa Clarita teams included.
Boys Basketball
Foothill League co-champion Valencia has been seeded 12th in Division 1-AA and will play Quartz Hill (third place out of the Golden League) at home in the first round on Friday.
The league’s other co-champion, Hart, is seeded seventh in Division 2-A and will host Torrance Friday.
West Ranch, third place finisher in league, is seeded ninth in Division 2-AA, but will travel to unseeded Summit in Fontana Friday.
Trinity Classical Academy, moved up to Division 4-A after winning the Division 6 championship last year, is seeded fourth and will host Whitney in their first round game Wednesday at The Master’s College.
Vasquez finished third in the Desert Mountain League but drew the No. 1 seed in Division 5-AA Windward for its first round game on the road Wednesday.
Santa Clarita Christian, runners up in Division 5-A last season, are seeded fourth in the division going into the playoffs this year and will host Villanova Prep Wednesday.
Girls Basketball
Foothill League champion Valencia has been seeded fourth in Division 4-AA and will host Jordan of Long Beach Saturday in the first round.
Hart has been seeded No. 2 in Division 2-A and will host Moorpark on Saturday.
Canyon has been seeded 10th in Division 2-AA and will travel to the Antelope Valley to play Eastside Saturday.
The Golden Valley Grizzlies have received the 16th seed in Division 2-A but will travel to Riverside to play Patriot on Saturday.
The Saugus Centurions have made the post season with an at-large berth in Division 2-AA and will travel to Tesoro Saturday to take on the No. 9 seed.
All game times are at 7 pm. The CIF places basketball teams in divisions based on school enrollment.

It appears that you left out one team in scv… A team that has won 3 consecutive league titles in its 3 years of varsity existence, a team that has been ranked by CIF and Max Preps 2 consecutive years, a team that was a finalist in the SCCS tip off tournament, a team that won the 2015 Westside Tournament played on Venice beaches outdoor court,not to mention our girls basketball team making the playoffs 2 years in a row and hosting a game tomorrow night at Masters college.. but still you can not take the time or have the brains to mention AEA in a local news blog.
