Tip of the Week: Mail and Package Thefts
This is the time of year when the nation sees an increase in package and mail thefts. As such it is imperative that we stay alert and watchful for ourselves and our neighbors.

If you are expecting packages, try scheduling to have them delivered when you or someone else will be home. If this is not possible, see if a neighbor or friend can pick them up for you. You may also want to consider having your packages left at the post office and picking them up there. Assure you are checking your mail DAILY, and never leave incoming or outgoing mail in your mailbox overnight.

If you see suspicious people in your area, or if you spot people or vehicles which you suspect may be following delivery or postal trucks, call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s station immediately so a unit can be sent out.

Take care, and be safe.
