On Thursday, Dec. 14, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., the city of Santa Clarita and the American Red Cross are partnering to provide a Community Blood Drive.
Residents are encouraged to come give blood in the Century Room at City Hall, located at 23920 Valencia Boulevard. A small token of appreciation will be given to those who donate.
Blood donations are an ever-present need and just one donation can help save up to three lives. National statistics from the American Red Cross show that a single car accident victim can require as much as 100 pints of blood.
Residents interested in signing up to donate blood at the Community Blood Drive can do so at redcrossblood.org, using sponsor code cityofsantaclarita.
On donation day, participants can go directly to the Century Room on the first floor for evaluation to ensure they are eligible to donate.
The option to save time on donation day is available by using RapidPass. RapidPass allows you to start the process before getting to the donation site, saving you approximately 15 minutes. Visit redcrossblood.org/rapidpass for more information. All participants must have a valid ID to donate.
