The Los Angeles Police Federal Credit Union has started a donation account for LAPD Officer Dan Boka, who was seriously injured after his vehicle collided with a truck on the I-5 freeway near Lyons Avenue in Newhall on May 23.
Donations in support of Boka and his family can be made online through PATROL Online Banking, or by calling (877) 695-2732 and entering the account number (2080491 S4.10) and LOS (first three letters of the account name).
Donations can also be mailed to the address below (make the check payable to “Blue Ribbon Trust for Dan Boka”), according to the LAPFCU page for the donation.
Officer Dan Boka, a 20-year veteran of the LAPD, is reportedly in “serious” condition after sustaining injuries from a crash on his police motorcycle, said Patrick Moody, spokesman for Henry Mayo Hospital.

Isn’t it a shame that a city employee who risks his life every day for the community needs to crowd fund to cover living costs while they are injured?? Where are his benefits? It goes to show how little this state with the HIGHEST TAXES cares about their officers.
This is such a joke. Police and fire have a great package deal. There is no need for this. But what do I know. It’s not like my family was in law enforcement or anything.
