Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in Valencia has formed a new clinically integrated network — the Henry Mayo Care Network, LLC.
“The Henry Mayo Care Network will enable better coordination and partnership among Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital and area physicians, facilitating enhanced patient care,” said Kingman Ho, MD, vice president and chief medical officer for the hospital. “This new venture moves us forward into the future of healthcare.”
A CIN is a healthcare network that coordinates care across providers and sites-of-care in a manner that enhances value for consumers by improving quality and patient satisfaction while lowering healthcare costs.
Changes in healthcare policy and reimbursement from both commercial and government payors offer new opportunities for hospitals and physicians to collaborate on providing the highest quality care in the most efficient way possible.
The CIN allows for a structure that aligns health system and physician goals and incentives in a mutually beneficial manner to improve patient care.
The Henry Mayo Care Network is governed by a physician-led Board of Managers. The board includes 12 Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital physicians and four hospital representatives.
The Henry Mayo Care Network will provide high-quality care to patients and ensure that the hospital and Santa Clarita Valley physician community remain competitive and viable.
