[KHTS] – A Newhall man was arrested last week after witnesses allegedly saw him pointing what looked to be a rifle, that later turned out to be a laser, at passing cars near Magic Mountain Parkway.
The incident occurred on Dec. 31 when multiple residents called the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station stating they saw a black man pointing what looked to be a rifle at passing cars, according to Shirley Miller, public information officer for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The rifle was later deemed a black, 14-inch long laser scope and Carlton Sercy, 44, was charged with a misdemeanor.
“He said he was pointing it at cars while he was playing laser tag,” said Miller.
