You Know I'm Right | Commentary by Betty Arenson
| Friday, Dec 18, 2015

bettyarensonAppearances are that most rational Americans are past asking questions like “where’s the outrage?” and “what will it take?”

I’ve been open about not being a fan of Donald Trump, but his continuance to amass a flock is no mystery, considering the acts of – or more accurately, the non-acts of – Barack Obama and his administration.

People are not only fed up; they are also deeply frightened. Not just scared for the dismantling of a once great America, but also terrified of who is pillaging and abusing our dominion, because this president and his lackeys continue to demonstrate they have and are erasing our sovereignty, which easily translates to our security.

It’s hard to miss the irony of Obama’s idea on security and sovereignty for you and me versus what he demands for himself.

On Thanksgiving Day, Robert Hoback jumped the fence surrounding the White House, breaching the Obama family’s sovereignty. Naturally, Hoback was arrested.

With the kind of security afforded to those in charge, it is profoundly egotistical that we, the Joe and Jane Citizens, are not afforded the promised sovereignty of our nation – our perimeter. Obama evinces he can afford to be exclusive; he’ll have secret service protection until the day he dies.

Attentive and vigilant people see that this guy simply does not care.

We suffer a “leader” (in name only) who does not show up for the majority of his Presidential Daily Brief (PDB) meetings where he is to be “briefed on the most critical intelligence threats to the country.”

Obama’s attendance his first 1,225 days on office was 43.8 percent, with his presence from 2011 to mid-2012 at 38 percent. He was exposed in September 2012 (National Review) and again in September 2014 (The Inquisitor) based on facts from the Government Accountability Institute.

The truancy did not improve with time.

A Sept. 30, 2014, report by The Inquisitor cited GAI finding that Obama attended 42.1 percent of the intelligence briefings from the time he took office (January 2009). They said, “Unless someone very senior has been shredding the president’s daily briefings and telling him that the dog ate them, highly accurate predictions about ISIL have been showing up in the Oval Office since before the 2012 election.”

“The intelligence community was sending pretty specific intel to us. We were seeing specific threat assessments and many of them have panned out exactly as we were told they would.”

In summary, Barack Obama entitled with “commander in chief,” racked up a dismal figure regarding attendance at meetings concerning the nation’s security in the very low 40s, and that data was 15 months ago.

This facts emerged days before a CBS “60 Minutes” interview with Obama when he said, “the intelligence community ‘underestimated’ ISIS and the horror in Syria.” Transferring the blame to the intelligence departments must have aggravated Director of National Intelligence Joe Clapper as he took his position under the bus wheels.

The White House and attendant minions mask the records with the tale that Obama doesn’t show up in person but gets every one of the briefs in “print,” or he or Joe Biden consult with Security Advisor Susan Rice.

Now there’s a trustworthy source.

Apparently Obama found a way to solve his absenteeism fetish: He avoids scheduling meetings or briefings in the first place.

The GAI reported: “In 2010, there were a total of 178 intelligence briefings on President Obama’s schedule. So far in 2014, there have been 102 meetings scheduled.”

The 2015 numbers will be interesting.

We have not forgotten that Obama hyped his foreign policy experience when he campaigned in 2007. For a then new part-time senator who voted mostly “present,” he indubitably believed his own propaganda.

This president tried to calm our fears this week with a bunch of broadcasted words from the oval office.

He failed miserably.

We heard he has no workable plan, no defined productive strategy, and we need to make friends with all Muslims, vetted or not, because they are our neighbors and co-workers. The latter is a stunning and profound statement considering the friend and co-worker massacre in San Bernardino days before his worthless address.

This guy doesn’t give a flip about this nation’s security irrespective of what happens to it; after all, he and his are protected, and there’s but 13 months to go to dump this to someone else.

I for one am far too sated and exhausted from the arrogance of Barry Cool who treats America’s presidency like it’s a frat party.

No. There are no more questions. The answers are loud and clear.

Betty Arenson has lived in the SCV since 1968 and describes herself as a conservative who’s concerned about progressives’ politics and their impacts on the country, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She says she is unashamed to own a gun or a Bible, couldn’t care less about the color of the president’s skin, and demands that he uphold his oath to protect and follow the Constitution of the United States in its entirety.

My Goodness, Betty Arenson, you golden-tongued conservative,,, no wait, make that Golden-Tongued-AMERICAN! ,,, I can only dream of making points as clearly, simply and with straightforward declaration as have you,,, “Three Cheers!!!” ,,,without changing so much as a comma of yours, I would like to make an additional point, In My Opinion: “barry is right-on plan and he DOES care and he does know EXACTLY what he is doing by missing his security briefings”,,, let us not mistake his, so-called, intransigence for his very careful construct of deniability…. thank you for caring and speaking out…

    well said mama!

  3. greg banta says:

Well stated. I’m fed up as well. Next January can’t come soon enough. We need a leader, not a community activist.

  4. Jim Soliz says:

Me thinks she doth protest too much!! I times of great stress and angst, what is required is a ‘Cool Handed Luke’ and not the screaming hysteria of the acolytes of Trumpism. hiding behind the thin veil of “not being a fan of Trump” does not mean that Aronson does not support his policies and whose interests he advocates for. indeed, If Aronson was truly honest as to not being a supporter of Trumpism, she would stand up disavow virtually every policy he has advocated for as well as stand up to the policies of the local City Council and the anointed “Mayor” “Billboard Bob Kellar” whose whose most recent main claim to fame is to give away City property worth millions.

    • Jack Gratrix says:

as usual Jim you are right behind the President. You avoid the real issues and try yo put the problems of this nation on others. I wish you could just open your eyes and see what is happening around you and stop making excuses for an inept President that cares nothing for our Country and its safety.

  5. mellie says:

Thank you for stating all the facts, Betty. soetoro lovers should pull their heads out of you-know-where and smell the smoke before most of us are brutally murdered by the hateful moslems (just like him).
