The Hart football team won its sixth game in a row and remained at No. 1 in the CIF Southern Section Northern Division poll.

Valencia and Canyon each won their games and moved up a spot in the Northern Division rankings.

All three teams are tied for first place in the Foothill League with 2-0 records.

Hart put the hurt on Golden Valley, 56-14, and went over the half-century mark for the third time this season. The Indians are averaging 51.1 points per game in their six wins.

Valencia moved up to No. 4 in the Northern Division after a 55-7 win over West Ranch.

Canyon is at No. 8 after a convincing 41-14 win over Saugus.

The Trinity football team held steady at No. 4 in the CIF Southern Section Division II 8-man poll after a 51-0 shutout against Milken.

In college golf, The Master’s College men’s team is in fourth place after the first day at the Cal State San Marcos Fall Classic.

Thane Ringler from The Master’s College is 1-under after the first two rounds of the Fall Classic. Teammate Nolan Sand is also 1-under after shooting a 3-under 69 in the second round of the tournament.

In high school cross country, the Saugus boys and girls teams won the second Foothill League meet at Central Park.

AJ Yarnall won the boys race for Saugus. He was one of five Centurion runners in the top 11. Yarnall finished the course in 15 minutes, 23.59 seconds.

Samantha Ortega won the girls race for Saugus in 17 minutes, 37.22 seconds.

In college cross country, John Gilbertson from The Master’s College won his fourth race of the season, this time at the Bronco Invitational at Santa Clara University.

He won the 8-mile race in 23 minutes, 40.3 seconds, a personal best for Gilbertson.

The Master’s College men’s cross country team, ranked No. 10 in the NAIA, was 16th at the meet, which invited teams from UCLA, Colorado and St. Mary’s.

The Master’s College women’s team was 15th at the meet. Saugus High graduate and Lady Mustangs freshman Karis Frankian set a school record at the meet. She was 23rd in 17 minutes, 43.7 seconds in the 5K race.

In college soccer, The Master’s College men lost to San Diego Christian, 3-1, in a game on Saturday.
