James Chow, Associate Planner, will be giving a presentation on the latest proposed changes and other user-friendly and business-friendly changes to the UDC. Staff will also be updating the commission on the timeline for moving forward with the completion of the document.
Mike Ascione, Assistant Planner II, will provide background information on the corridor planning process, milestones achieved to date, including public outreach and extensive field research. An overview of how Form-based codes address the relationship between building facades and the public realm will also be explained and demonstrated. The meeting will conclude with a walking tour of the current conditions of Lyons Avenue with an explanation of the proposed changes to the public realm and facades.
Since adoption of the One Valley One Vision General Plan in June of 2011 every property will have an updated zoning designation. According to the city, the public can still have input on the plans.
