Valencia, Zone 5

Last week, the following Part 1 crimes occurred in Zone 5 (Valencia):

An Assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer occurred near the 27000 block of Las Mananitas Drive.  A male suspect tried to force entry into a residence by kicking down the door.  The victims called the Sheriff’s station right away, and deputies were on scene within seconds.  The suspect ran toward his vehicle and tried to flee the area while the deputy was present.  In the suspect’s attempt to flee the area he tried to run over the deputy with his vehicle.  The suspect led the deputies on a short vehicle pursuit in the neighborhood.  At the conclusion of the pursuit the suspect fought with the deputies before being taken into custody.

An assault with a deadly weapon occurred near the area of the Santa Clara River bed.  A male white suspect pointed a handgun at the victim while he was working in the wash clearing brush.  The suspect is a transient from the wash and was upset over the fact the victim was making noise.

A residential burglary occurred near the 24700 block of Magic Mountain Parkway.  Suspect(s) unknown entered the victim’s open and unlocked garage and stole numerous items from inside his garage.

A garage burglary occurred near the 27600 block of Woodfield Place.  Suspect unknown entered the victims open garage and unlocked vehicle and stole personal items from inside her purse.  Her vehicle had been ransacked as well and numerous other items were missing.

A vehicle theft occurred near the 24000 block of Creekside Road. The victim had his 2012 Nissan stolen from the location.  The vehicle was recovered 3 days later in Newhall.

A robbery occurred near the 28500 block of Westinghouse Place.  The suspect was arrested for trying to steal the victims’ iPad while he was outside smoking a cigarette.  The suspect grabbed the iPad and kicked the victim in the leg and tried to get away.  The suspect was arrest by patrol deputies without incident.

A grand theft occurred near the 28100 block of McBean Parkway.  Suspect(s) unknown entered the resident’s gym area and stole the entire rack of dumbbells from the gym.  They also stole numerous medicine balls.

A vehicle burglary occurred near the 23500 block of Avenida Rotella.  Suspect unknown broke into the victims’ vehicle and stole a bag containing several items of clothing.

A second vehicle burglary occurred near the 27100 block of Tourney Road.  Suspect unknown broke into the victims’ vehicle by breaking two windows to the vehicle.
